A memorial to pioneer aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith at northern end of Seven Mile Beach commemorates the site of his 1933 take off in the Southern Cross. Bush walk through Seven Mile Beach National Park 13 km south of Gerringong where you'll find camping and picnic areas.
