South Durras - North Durras - Depot - Pebbly Beach - East Lynne
Situated between Bawley Point and Batemans Bay are a number of seaside hamlets perfect for those looking for a pristine, unspoilt hideaway. Merry , Pretty, Pebbly Beaches, North and South Durras enjoy remote locations with ocean beach frontage and close proximity to Meroo and Murramarang National Parks.
South Durras
Take the Durras Road turn off just north of Batemans Bay and come and discover what South Durras has to offer. Superb surfing beaches and Murramarang National Park provides a perfect setting for the magnificent four and a half star Murramarang Eco Resort, Beagle Bay and Lakesea Caravan Parks. A visit to Forest Gallery which is situated in the Murramarang National Park Durras Road approximately two kilometres from the turn off is a must. Here you will find work represented by many well known national and local artists, sculptures and potters. Stay for lunch and soak up the ambience of the natural forest Amy’s Restaurant afternoon tea at the Galleries own BYO licenced restaurant.
North Durras
The next turn off the highway as you travel north to Ulladulla will take you to the secluded beach settlements of Durras North and Depot Beach which lie adjacent to Murramarang Reserve on the northern side of Durras Lake’. Here you can just unwind or swim, surf, fish, canoe and picnic till your hearts content
Walks
Durras discovery trail - 1.5km approx 1hr
Depot Beach Rainforest walk - starts at the Depot Beach car park and winds through the forest canopy. Signs explain features takes about 30 min to complete the loop.
East Lynne
Back on the highway between the Durras North and Pebbly Beach turn off - stop and fill up at the East Lynne Store and make sure you try their absolutely outstanding award winning gourmet pies. Relax in the outside courtyard area and soak up the mountain views or take away. If your staying in the area then take the esky and stock up. Fresh seafood, prawns, oysters, smoked fish, burgers, fish ‘n’ chips grocery items, bottle shop also available.
